As I was growing up, the schools taught that abortion had been legalized so women would not have to go to back alley butchers, that abortion would be a safe medical procedure. The reports I have been reading recently about health and safety violations, lack of hospital admitting protocol and lack of doctors present, lack of standards that a medical facility should have, lead me to believe abortion is legalized back alley butchering. Planned Parenthood makes a profit every year and has the funds to update facilities to meet medical standards. They should be held to the same standards as other medical practices that perform pervasive procedures and procedures that can lead to bleeding out and other emergency situations that the clinics do not have training and equipment to handle.Please uphold health and safety standards for abortion clinics.
