Uphold Standards, Protect Women

Board of Health,

Could we just for once set aside politics and focus on "the results" of inspections conducted by trained and paid health professionals paid by the State of Virginia to assure medical procedures are conducted in a safe, clean and law abiding facility" Health clinics and medical treatment facilities through-out Virginia are held accountable thru a process of inspections. If my daughter were to have an abortion, I have an interest and a right enforced by State law that she would have the procedure done in a facility held accountable to standards required by similar clinics through-out Virginia. Why should abortion facilities be given favoritism and be allowed to perform surgical procedures in facilities that fail to meet reasonable sanitary standards required by other surgical performing facilities"To do otherwise smells of political cronyism, favoritism and special treatment for a special group who seem to not be interested in operating in a sanitary atmosphere in the interest of the patient. Abortion centers make big profits and certainly have the money to meet standards required for other similar surgical facilities. It is not too much to expect the abortion centers in Virginia to meet the same standards as other medical facilities doing high-risk surgeries. Tom Garnett
