Please put your trust in your teachers.  As things stand now, a student or a parent can choose an alternative assignment if they believe a class activity or assignment is innapropriate.

Parents should never hestitate to contact a teacher if they have a concern about subject matter in class.  However, rather than both sides accusing the other of wrongdoing, an open, honest discussion about concerns and opinions from both parties will most often lead to a resolution that is acceptable for the parent, the teacher, and most importantly, the student.

More regulations are not the answer.  Parents and teachers are both advocates, not adversaries, for the students.  It doesn't work if there is a constant power struggle over who controls curriculum.

Talk with your teacher if you have a concern!
