Preserve religious freedom

We urge you to reject the proposed regulation that would discriminate against faith-based child placement agencies by forcing them to adopt children to homosexuals or cease performing their mission of helping children.  We understand that, in Virginia, there already exist public and private agencies that facilitate adoptions to homosexuals.  As a result, adding discriminatory language to the regulations would serve only to force faith-based child placement agencies to cease fulfilling their mission or to violate their religious beliefs.  This should not happen.  These agencies must be allowed to continue to provide this service.  There is surely as much of a need for faith-based agencies as for secular ones.  Birth parents and prospective adoptive parents deserve this option.  Please choose not to violate religious freedom in Virginia..
