As the spouse of a social worker, I know there are many kids waiting for homes in the foster care/adoption system that may never be find them.  The most important, indeed the only important factor, is the ability of the prospective parents to care for a child.  Being GLBTQ does not make an individual less qualified to be a parent in any sense, and there should be no discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation of the parents.  Please, expand our system to include those resources available to us.  There are many GLBTQ individuals who want to help, and are looking to adopt children, and we should be encouraging these people, not stopping them.
