I can't help but worry about all of the religious freedom posts on this site. We do need to include religious affiliation in our anti-discrimination clause! If there is a Muslim case worker who is bias against a Christian household, that helps no one. The same goes for Christians; the bias against all other people who aren't Christian do not help anyone.

This comment page is about adoption regulation policies. That means the main focus should be on helping the children who need loving families. It is the duty of the United States to protect our citizens, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, age, ability status, political/religious affiliation, sexual orientation, and economic status. Children are our future. Why is it that everytime people try to extend a hand in the helping direction that someone else has to put up a religious hand of protest? Preserve the right for individual religion, but remember, it is not the job of government officials to inflict their religious beliefs on others. People who would like to do so should probably go into missionary work or become a priest. Please listen to the people who took the time to make a logical argument on this page.

Religion is necessary and important, but it is not the argument we should be having here. And if you cannot separate your religion from your government job, please either get out of the government or change the Constitution to abolish the first amendment so all laws can have a Christian undertone. That way, you can kick everyone who doesn't self identify as a Christian out of the nation as well. Remember, globalization creates diversity, and that process started about 20 years ago. It's a little too late to go back and insert Christianity all over our government legally...
