Protections Against Discrimination

Children should come first. When deciding to place children in homes the best intrests of the child should be the only factor.

Allowing discrimination to be written in to any law is not somethihng we should be doing in the 21st century. Child placing agencies should not be allowed to discriminate against children or prospective parents based on race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability and family status.

Make the corrections that others made. The State Board of Social Services should restore to the final rules the protections against such discrimination included in the proposed rules.
