anti-discrimination in adoption

Two loving adults with the financial and emotional ability and commitment to raise a child should be the only serious considerations in adoption.  Sexual orientation, religion, political affiliation, etc. are irrelevant to the best interests of the child or the commonwealth.  Children grow up and while their early environment shapes their attitudes as adults, children (and commonwealth) are not irreparably harmed by growing up in environments which one may find personally distasteful.
