Preserve religious freedom

1 tThe State Board of Social Services  upheld the fundamental right of faith-based adoption agencies to continue their work without government interference into the practice of their faith.

·         Faith-based agencies have a right, under federal and state law, to make decisions that are consistent with their religious beliefs, including their beliefs about marriage and family life. This right must be respected and preserved. As well as preserving the beliefs of the many families that use these agencies to adopt children. Our great country was founded on preserving religious freedom and this has also been an important foundation in Virginia. It would be a violation of that freedom to have govenrment regulation on faith based adoption agencies. These agencies provide for many needs within our communities.
