Preserve Virginia's Religious Freedom

The faith-based agencies of our state have a right, under both federal AND state laws, to make decisions that are consistent with their religious beliefs.  This right must be respected and protected - particularly in the areas of life, family, and marriage.

The State Board of Social Services has previousy upheld this fundamental right.  Forcing agencies to choose between following their own deeply-held values or the law would be an unprecedented violation of religious freedom in our state.

Taking this freedom would not help children.  If, as has been the case elsewhere, agencies are forced to close rather than go against their convictions, the absence of the great work done by these agencies will create a greater need than currently exists.

Please allow these agencies to continue their invaluable service to our state. Please preserve our religious freedom.
