Our country was founded on the principle of freedom for everyone. Sadly, our country, and the state of Virginia, still does not practice this. As recently as a half century ago, blacks and women still had not secured the same rights as white men, but with education and reflection attitudes changed. Now, our country insists on withholding rights from other Americans simply because of their sexual orientation. A select group of hard-working Americans are denied the right to marry, adopt children, and are not fully protected by our laws, simply because they love someone a few ingnorant people say they shouldn’t. I find that appalling.  Wake up,  stop descrimination, and think about the children who are need of a loving home.
