I do not support further change to the regulations approved by the State Board of Social Services on April 20, 2011.  I believe that the issues and comments on the previously proposed regulations were fully aired and considered. 

The revised regulations allow faith-based adoption agencies to continue to serve Virginia families and children; the regulations do not prevent other accredited adoption agencies from following additional nondiscrimination policies relating to age, gender, and family status.  I believe that the Commonwealth of Virginia, our tax payers, and prospective families and adoptees would be adverely affected if faith-based adoption agencies closed.
