Institutional discrimination should not prevent children from being adopted into loving homes. These children need homes and structure, and the ability for parents to provide that is absolutely not contigent upon their sexual orientation, ethnic background, or religious beliefs. To discriminate against prospective parents based on such factors is an abysmal step backwards towards pre-civil rights times, and should not be tolerated by anyone who claims to uphold this country's constitutional ideals.
