Preserve religious freedom

Preserve Religious Choice in Adoption

Despite having close to 2 years and more than 1,000 Virginians commented on the proposed regulations, I see that this is still undecided.

The homosexual community already has the choice to adopt from any number of public and private Virginia adoption agencies.

Give the above; I fail to understand why Virginia Board of Social Services would actively choice to discriminate against private faith based placement agencies having the choice and freedom to choose an adoptive parent of the same religious convictions as the birthmothers, and consequently, the adoption agencies, so that the birthmothers child may be raised according to her faith.

I would respectfully request that the regulations do not include a proposal that would have discriminated against faith-based child placement agencies by forcing them to place children with homosexuals.

 Respectfully,

 Sean Henderson
