I would like to thank the State Board of Social Services for upholding the fundamental right of faith based agencies to make decisions consistent with deeply held religious beliefs and values when placing children with foster and adoptive parents.  Religious liberty is the cornerstone of our Commonwealth and should not be denied to these hard-working faith-based agencies.  If they were forced to shut their doors in order to not compromise their beliefs it would be tragic for children.
