Faith-based agencies have a right to make decisions that are consistent with their religious beliefs, especially including decisions about marriage and family life. This right must be respected and preservered. Many birthparents and adoptive parents who work with faith-based agencies share the same beliefs as these agencies and deserve to see these beliefs upheld. Religious freedom is a foundation of our Commonwealth and our country and faith-based agencies must be allowed to continue their work in the communities.
