Faith-based agencies should not be forced to sacrifice their beliefs

Faith-based agencies provide a valuable resource in the placement of children into loving, permanent adoptive homes. These agencies should not be forced to violate their beliefs and conscience in order to continue to provide this important service.  Religious freedom is a fundamental right in this country and if potential adoptive parents don't meet the selection criteria of a specific agency, they should seek out once that is more appropriate for them. The risk of trying to cram progressive social ideals down the throats of faith-based agencies is that they will cease to provide the service and that will ultimately hurt the children of Virginia who are in desparate need of an adoptive family.
