what kids need

Children need lots of things.  They need love, attention, consideration, guidance, someone to listen, someone to care.  They need food, clothing, shelter.  They don't care about the sexual orientation of those caring for them.  We shouldn't either.  The quality of those being considered for being parents, whether foster or adoptive, is all that should matter.  I worked for the Dept. of Social Services in Virginia Beach for 28 years before retiring and my son is adopted.  I have seen children who need homes and would hate to think qualified people are turned down and these children not properly taken care of because of a reason so unnecissarily adopted.
