I support Anti Discrimination protections for prospective parents

Discrimination in government services is wrong and ILLEGAL. The best interests of the child should be the sole factor in deciding whether a child should be placed with a prospective foster care or adoptive parent or parents. The parent(s) ability to provide for, care for, and love the child is the only criteria that matters.

State-licensed child placing agencies should not be allowed to discriminate against children or prospective parents based on race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability and family status. Just because there are certain elements of neanderthal thinking floating around does not give you the right to give voice to hatred.

The State Board of Social Services should restore to the final rules the protections against such discrimination included in the proposed rules. Civil rights, human rights really, should not be up for debate or discussion.

I'd also just like to add that it is regressive thinking like this that puts the United States on par with Saudia Arabia in terms of human rights abuses and ranking below Estonia in reading, Luxembourg in maths, and Hungary in science. You are what is wrong with this once-great nation.
