Please do not force private licensees to accept gay adoptive/foster parents

Many of the comments have addressed the regulatory changes as though they LIMIT the "loving homes" that children have access to. These changes do not REQUIRE that gay adoptive parents be excluded from ALL agencies, but simply allow for PRIVATE child placement organizations to be licensed that DO seek only heterosexual adoptive/foster parents. These changes actually ALLOW MORE placement organizations to be licensed by removing the requirement of the admission of gay adoptive parents.

Please allow the changes to stand as approved by the governor. They do not inhibit ANY organization from accepting any foster/adoptive parents that they wish. They simply prohibit DISCRIMINATING against private placement organizations that do not believe that it is in the best interest of the child to be placed with a homosexual foster/adoptive parent.
