Adopting new standards for private child-placing agencies

Protection of religious liberty and family values

To the Department of Social Services:

Your proposed regulation, which by the way, boldly bypasses the regular legislative process, not only flies in the face of common sense, but limits the freedom of child placement agencies which maintain logical and clear beliefs based on natural law.  From the beginning of human existence, the human family has consisted in a man and a woman raising children with a wholesome set of values and a complementary masculine and feminine perspective.  There is nothing wrong with "discriminating" against other clearly immoral forms of living arrangements, as they inherently represent a grave form of abuse to children which may become a part of them.

It is clear and logical not to discriminate because of race or nationality, but it does make a difference whether a child has a mother and a father.  You should not impose your irrational and illogical stance on "sexual orientation" on those who disagree with you.  Your proposed new "standard," if you can call it that, will be on your conscience forever as you establish a new age of oppression on a segment of society that seeks to maintain the moral order that we have cherished since the foundation of the American republic and of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
