There are some parts of these proposed regulations that will greatly affect the ability of private, church-sponsored adoption agencies to serve their clients, specifically the requirement that agencies may not refuse to process placement of children based on sexual orientation of foster or adoptive parents.

Since these changes have not been well-publicized, I request that the comment period be extended by 30 days, to allow affected agencies more time to review and comment.  Thank you..
