I support the excelsior program, it gives the LPN's a chance to further their education, while working a full-time job and taking care of a family.  A lot of nurses aren't able to quite their jobs or drop their hours to go too a traditional nursing school. I think this helps the LPN to reach that goal of becoming a RN.
