The State Veterinarian is conducting a public comment forum regarding his proposed Guidelines Governing the Approval of Continuing Education Training for Animal Control Officers. Va. Code § 3.2-6556(A)(2) requires the State Veterinarian to (i) develop criteria to be used in approving continuing education training courses for animal control officers and (ii) provide an opportunity for public comment on the proposed criteria before he adopts the final criteria. This public comment forum will begin on November 20, 2017, and conclude on December 21, 2017.
