| Purpose of the meeting INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTIFICATION: THE DEPARTMENT WILL UTILIZE THE TOWN HALL AND COMMONWEALTH CALENDAR POSTINGS TO UPDATE INTERESTED PERSONS ON WHETHER OR NOT THIS PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD AS SCHEDULED DUE TO POSSIBLE INCLEMENT WEATHER ON SEPTEMER 13. PLEASE CHECK THIS POSTING FOR UPDATED INFORMATION. A public hearing to receive comment on additional proposed amendments to the Water Quality Standards regulation developed to address phased implementation of proposed ammonia criteria for freshwater. The text of the additional language is available on the Department of Environmental Quality web site at: https://www.deq.virginia.gov/Programs/Water/WaterQualityInformationTMDLs/WaterQualityStandards/RulemakingInfo.aspx. Comment will also be accepted regarding the need for adoption of new, updated or cancellation of existing water quality standards contained in Virginia Administrative Code ยง 9VAC25-260, and to fulfill federal mandates for a three-year review of the standards. Any comment received will be taken into consideration for future regulatory action on the water quality standards. | |||
