| Purpose of the meeting HB2165 was passed during the 2017 General Assembly Session, and a workgroup was convened in August 2017. An interim progress report (https://rga.lis.virginia.gov/Published/2017/RD431/PDF) was submitted by Secretary of Health and Human Resources William A. Hazel, Jr., MD on October 12, 2017 to the Chairmen of the House Committee on Health, Welfare and Institutions and the Senate Committee on Education and Health. This meeting is to reconvene the workgroup to develop and consider draft legislation in advance of the final report which is due to be submitted to the Chairmen by November 1, 2018. Public comments will be received on agenda items during this meeting. The agenda will be posted once complete. | |
