| Purpose of the meeting An informational meeting on an application to modify an existing Virginia Pollution Abatement Permit allowing the land application of biosolids and water treatment plant residuals in Caroline County by Nutri-Blend, Inc. The Department of Environmental Quality is holding the meeting to exchange information with the interested public on technical issues related to the proposed permit modification such as: site-specific information that DEQ may consider when drafting the permit modification; the standard content of permits; and how the public can provide comment on a draft permit modification. The application requests authorization to land apply to an additional 882.5 acres of agricultural and silvicultural land at 2 sites at controlled rates protective of water quality and human health.
