| Purpose of the meeting A public meeting to discuss technical issues related to and receive public input on a Virginia Pollution Abatement permit application from Synagro Central, LLC to land apply treated biosolids in Richmond County and detail how the public can provide comment on a draft permit. Synagro Central, LLC has applied for a permit to authorize the land application of biosolids to 1 tract in Richmond County, Va. totaling approximately 220.7 acres of farmland. B. V. Foster owns 9 fields, B. V. Foster and C. F. Titus own 2 fields. The biosolids will be land applied as a fertilizer at a controlled rate in accordance with a nutrient management plan that will be developed for each site. The applicant proposes to utilize biosolids on farmland without a discharge to surface waters. | |
