| Purpose of the meeting The Virginia Department of Taxation and the Virginia Department of Forestry have recently determined that some members of the forest products industry are using different methods to comply with their obligations under the Forest Products Tax laws. We would like to meet with representatives of the industry to gather information regarding this situation and seek their insight as to a possible resolution. Both agencies would like to build consensus as to uniform procedures for collection of the tax that reflect current industry practices and ensure the correct amount of tax is collected. | |
