| Purpose of the meeting Staff with the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation will provide an overview of the park’s revised master plan. Each state park has a master plan that guides development. Plans are updated every five years and must be current before funds are allocated for new facilities. The updated plan for Douthat calls for construction of a discovery/visitor center, a couple of additional cabins, renovations to many of the existing park facilities and trails, improving and/or undergrounding utilities, and expanding camping opportunities. | |
