On 5/4/2016 the board requested that this
emergency stage be extended until 12/8/2016.
Reason for Extension:
This emergency regulation is due to expire June 9, 2016. This extension is required in order for DMAS to continue enforcing the legislative mandate, as set out in Chapter 665 of the 2015 Acts of the Assembly, Item 301 00 (e) and TTT 2 (i), which required DMAS to establish a care coordination model for individuals dually eligible for services under Medicare and Medicaid. This package is essential to enable these individuals to continue to access their primary, acute, behavioral health, and long-term care services through a single managed delivery system, thereby increasing the coordination of services across the spectrum of care.
This emergency extension request was approved by the Governor's office on 6/3/2016.
