On 3/19/2014 the board requested that this
emergency stage be extended until 11/6/2014.
Reason for Extension:
Emergency regulations for practice by licensed nurse practitioners in patient care teams will expire on 5/7/14. The Board submitted proposed replacment regulations, which are identical to the emergency regulations, on 8/19/13. The proposed regulations have been in the Secretary's office awaiting approval since 10/11/13. It is not possible to have final regulations in effect prior to the expiration of the emergency regulations in May of 2014.
This emergency extension request was approved by the Governor's office on 4/30/2014.
