Standard 1 - Clarification needed for the “Non-Completer” definition and how to implement a “written release” process. Will candidates ONLY be reported as “Non-Completers” after they have been officially released from the EEP via an official written notification?

Standard 3 - Support for the transition to a 10 week summative student teaching/internship rather than the previous 300 hours requirement

Standard 6 - Concern for the collection of this data. Information regarding impact on student learning is extremely challenging for EEP’s to collect, as there is no way for IHE’s to link PK-12 pupils to our candidates. Strongly suggest the data be collected by the VDOE at the State Level, and that the VA Teacher Evaluations (which incorporate teacher effectiveness and student academic progress) be used as the vehicle for collection of teacher-pupil data.  If teachers are additionally asked the IHE and relative EEP from which they graduated, the results may be provided in aggregate from the schools.
