Description The regulation sets forth guidelines governing the duties and operations of the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman and the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. The regulation covers the processes to receive, investigate, and resolve complaints on behalf of residents in long-term care facilities and individuals receiving long-term care services in the community. The regulation describes the process for the Office to access records and individuals, delegate local ombudsman entities and representatives, mitigate any conflicts of interest, and issue sanctions for interference with the program.
