These regulations are being created in support of the Code of Virginia ยง 23-220.01 for the implementation and administration of a scholarship program for Shipyard Workers. These regulations provide purpose, definitions, use of funds, application procedures, selection of scholarship recipients, eligibility for initial scholarship, renewability of scholarships, scholarship conditions, scholarship amounts, non-compliance with scholarship agreement, and responsibility of the college (Tidewater Community College). Note that only Tidewater Community College has the academic and apprenticeship programs required by the scholarship program. |
